Colored water may be experienced in ALL areas of the water utility during or following the flushing. The water is safe to drink as the color is caused by the disturbed mineral deposits in the mains. If colored water should occur, please allow the water to settle down for a few hours and try again later. If the problem persists on the next day, please contact the Water Utility office at 715-693-5732. Those with sensitive water needs should draw water before the hours of flushing. Please do your white laundry on Sundays to avoid discoloration issues or use a detergent product such as Iron Out to reduce the risk of staining.
