It will reopen on December 1 and remain open the entire month for residents to dispose of whole trees & logs. Since cutting of oak trees is NOT allowed from April 15-August 15, this will allow for residents to dispose of oak trees during the month of December, in addition to the normal allowable materials.
Village residents are allowed to dispose of grass clippings, leaves, pine needles, trees & branches (any size diameter - no limit on size of branches). Tree stumps, and painted & treated wood are NOT allowed at the Yard Waste Site. Those items should be taken to the Marathon County Landfill, off State Highway 29 in the Township of Ringle.
Do not injure, prune, or cut oaks from April 15 through August 15. Oak trees will not be accepted at the Yard Waste Site from April 15 - August 15. Residents may dispose of oaks at the Yard Waste Site during the month of December ONLY. For more information on oak wilt, please visit the Oak Wilt page.
A small pile of recycled top soil is available to Village residents on a limited basis.
Please help the Village maintain a neat appearance and mulch your clippings as you mow or take them to the Yard Waste Site.
