Welcome to the Village of Kronenwetter Fire Department. The Village of Kronenwetter is a beautiful, safe and growing community of 7,291+ residents and nearly 53 square miles nestled between the Wisconsin River and the Kronenwetter Forestry Unit. The community is wonderfully diverse as you explore from business to industrial and from residential to agricultural.

The Fire Department provides full fire response to the entire Village of Kronenwetter and the Township of Guenther.

  • Awards Ceremony and Raffle to Follow
Join the Kronenwetter Fire Department in honoring the fallen heroes of September 11, 2001.  Register for the 5k, 10k or 1 Mile Firefighter Challenge to pay tribute to the fallen first responders of 9/11 and show your support for those who continue to serve our communities today.
Participants will receive a dri-fit event tee, Fallen Hero Honor Badge, an automatic entry into our Race Bib Raffle and goodie bags from local businesses and sponsors.  All participants are invited to join us at 8:46 am for the Opening Memorial Ceremony, where we will have a prayer for the fallen, a live bagpipe tribute, the Wausau Fire Department Honor Guard and special guest speakers from Ground Zero and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the Village of Kronenwetter Fire Department.
