Kronenwetter ranked #6 safest city in Wisconsin

On March 18, 2024, SafeWise released their 10th Annual Safest Cities Report, and the Village of Kronenwetter landed near the very top at number six.

SafeWise based their rankings on violent crime and property crime rates. On a three-year average, Kronenwetter boasts a violent crime rate of 0.66 incidents per 1000 people and an average property crime rate of 3.0 incidents per 1000 people. Kronenwetter’s violent crime rate increased slightly from last year by 0.4, while property crime rates decreased this year by 0.1.

“Being ranked the sixth safest city in the entire state of Wisconsin is fantastic, and it emphasizes the strength and quality of our village,” said Kronenwetter Police Chief Terry McHugh. “The police department is fortunate to have such great residents to partner with and as a village, we’re very proud of our top ten ranking.”
